One of the worst things about being in serious financial trouble is the fact that we often put ourself in deeper financial trouble trying to get out of the situation, so essentially we are in a loop where we try to sort the existing debt by getting more debt and then trying to sort that with more loans and we end up nowhere but in a whole serious of debt loops. If this were the case then anyone and everyone would be in a constant loop of debt and have no life at all besides trying to clear that debt right?

But this isn’t reality; yes people are often in debt and there is a whole heap of people stuck in this horrific debt loop but most of them get out and make it out and even create a better debt free life. Some people even start from scratch and build better debtless lives. So now you might be wondering what magic they have used to get out of such debt and create better lives; well, the answer is quite simple. You have to face facts! Let me elaborate that for you.

What majority of people in serious debt do is that they ‘hope’ or rather have wishful thinking in terms of how their debts are going to get cleared. They refuse to sit down and look at how much of trouble they are in and how much money they are in debt. Without coming to terms and facing the reality you absolutely cannot sort everything through. It might be a hard decision, actually it is quite a hard decision but once you make this, you can slowly sort through in an orderly fashion without getting more tangled onto to a web of debt.

Do Not Rush Your Decisions, Always Get Advice

Another thing we do that often ends up making things worse is the fact that we make quick hasty decisions when in trouble. This is common of many people because we as humans tend to make – most of the time – the wrong decisions when in fear or doubt. Take things slow, talk to someone, get bankruptcy advice or any other possible methods of getting your situation resolved. Consider your options without being quick to make decisions; have a sit down when you are calm and quietly look through all the options in front of you, talk to your friend or family member and get their opinion as well; chances are that they can point put something you may have missed.

Compartmentalization Can Really Help A Lot

Another way to reduce stress and to prevent making quick hasty decisions is to compartmentalize; rather than mixing up everything and letting one bad thing in your life affect everything else, simply compartmentalize and don’t let the negative aspects of your financial situation cloud your judgment in every other part of our life. Deal with one thing at a time and try not to mix your feelings and get worried.
